Elisabeth HubmannThe Tyrolean organist Elisabeth Hubmann, currently active in Geneva, focuses on classical and contemporary organ music in order to promote research and transdisciplinarity in the world of the organ. In her work as a musicologist, she particularly explores the intersections between anthropology, cultural heritage, listening practices, instrument making and lived, practice-oriented research. As a performer, she plays a broad repertoire ranging from early to contemporary music on organ, pianoforte and other keyboard instruments. She performs regularly in international concert series, including: Orgelpark Amsterdam (NL), Schnitgertage Ganderkesee (D), Schwaz Silberstadt Orgelkonzerte (AUT), Oude Kerk Amsterdam (NL), Lunchconcerten Waalsekerk (NL), Kaasmarktconcerten in Alkmaar (NL), Recitais em Lourdes Belo Horizonte (BRA), musik+ (AUT), Musée suisse de l'orgue Roche (CH), Stift Admont (AUT), Toulouse les Orgues (FR), Carinthischer Sommer (AUT), Cathédrale d'Annecy (FR), St. Antonius Oberkassel (D), Verspérales Temple d'Aubonne (FR), International Organ Week Paderborn (D), and many more. Music and art present themselves to her less as a profession, but rather as an attitude to life, a dedication, a willingness, and as a perceptual filter that not only facilitates perception, but also enables understanding. In the anthropological complex, music can be a key to opening doors into different worlds. Fascinated by traditional music and environmental initiatives, she considers musical and artistic practices as the most important resources for sustainable thinking and action. |
